Looking for mediterranean party decor with a little more personality? Think blue patterned plates, bowls of lemons and pink flowers around a turquoise doorway.
These ideas give you plenty to work with, whether you’re decorating one dinner table or setting up a whole outdoor party.
You can keep it simple or go all out. I especially love the little potted herbs and colorful striped drink stations.
Start with a detail you love, then build your setup around it.
Mediterranean Party Ideas Worth Saving
blue plates and yellow roses
How pretty is this blue and yellow table? I love the yellow roses mixed with white flowers, plus those blue goblets beside the patterned plates.
Try scattering lemons and limes down the middle of your table. A little leafy sprig on each napkin is a lovely finishing touch.
leafy branches in pale jugs
If you are looking for something that keeps the colors simple, this one is for you. Tall olive branches fill pale handled jugs, with more greenery running between the place settings.

little pots of rosemary
I am obsessed with these little rosemary pots. They look so cute lined up along the table with glowing candles tucked between them.
You don’t need a huge flower arrangement to follow this idea. Try a row of small potted herbs with clear candleholders instead.
pink flowers and patterned vases
This color combination may just be one of my favorites. The bright pink flowers and yellow lemons look gorgeous above that tall blue-and-white vase.
There are pink flowers around the candleholders too. Bring the blue into your place settings with matching napkins and goblets.
red stripes and scalloped umbrellas
Who says you have to stick to blue and yellow? This setup goes all out with red-and-white stripes on the tables, cushions and stalls.
I love the white edging on the red umbrellas. For a smaller version, try striped cushions on a pair of lounge chairs beside your party table.
a lemon tree centerpiece
If you are looking for a true eye-catcher, then this one is for you. A tall lemon-covered tree rises above the round table, with purple flowers clustered around its base.
The little baskets underneath are such a cute extra detail. For a smaller table, you could try a compact potted citrus tree with a few flower arrangements beside it.
patterned lanterns overhead
How cute are these blue-and-white hanging lanterns? There’s so much to love here, from the yellow flowers overhead to the green goblets on the table.
Try yellow napkins with patterned plates to borrow the tabletop look. The tall yellow vases are worth including too!

dinner under string lights
Don’t want to add lots of bright colors? No problem! This long dinner table sits beneath a leafy pergola filled with little glowing bulbs.
I love how the lights stretch over the whole dining area. If you have a pergola, try following its overhead beams with outdoor-rated string lights.
an olive checkerboard platter
Even the snack platter can be part of the look. Green olives alternate with white cheese squares in this neat little checkerboard, with herb sprigs on top.
Try the same alternating arrangement on a rectangular serving plate. It’s a pretty detail for the food table without adding another decoration.
turquoise doors and pink blooms
I am obsessed with this flower-covered doorway. The turquoise panels are so beautiful against all those bright pink blooms.
Use this as inspiration for a photo backdrop, with flowers around the top and down both sides. I’d keep the middle clear so that gorgeous door color still shows.
basket shades and pale blue
Look up before you finish decorating your table! These open basket-style shades hang at different heights, with leafy branches woven through the overhead frame.
Below them, pale blue place settings sit beside dark blue tumblers and blue-and-white pots. The little orange fruit accents are my favorite finishing touch.
gingham and tomato garlands
This drinks table is just too cute. Red-and-white gingham covers the front, with matching strips tied around the overhead frame.
I especially love the strings of red tomatoes beside the little hanging lights. For your own version, you could use tomato-shaped decorations around a gingham-covered drinks station.
pomegranates and olive branches
Don’t want to use lemons in every arrangement? Try pomegranates instead.
The deep red fruit looks so pretty among the olive branches on this otherwise white table.
Keep the white tapers and plain plates if you like this understated setup. There’s no need to add flowers here.
a trail of seashells
Calling all shell lovers, this is such a pretty table idea. Different shapes and shades of shells run down a gathered beige runner, with candles in clear holders beside them.
I love the little sprigs clipped to the cards at each setting. Try a similar detail on your own place cards.
bottle candles and lemon slices
This is another lovely way to bring greenery onto a round table. Leafy branches form a wide ring around two dark bottles, with lemon pieces tucked throughout.

The bottles hold tall white candles. If you want a similar bottle display at home, LED tapers would be an alternative to the flames shown here.
yellow tapers and blue florals
The yellow candles are my favorite part of this table. They pick up the color of the lemons along the leafy center arrangement, right beside those gorgeous blue floral plates.
Keep the napkins beige and the glasses clear to follow this combination. The yellow already gives you plenty of color.
white roses on a blue runner
I love this pale blue runner with its loose folds hanging over the table edge. The white roses, lemons and olive branches look so pretty along the middle.
Try small orange-brown pots for your flowers rather than one large vase. Keep them spaced out so you can still see the blue underneath.
a lantern-filled lounge
If you want a separate little seating area, save this idea. Tall patterned lanterns surround low round seats and tables beneath a draped canopy.
The light patterns on the wall are gorgeous. You could borrow the look with grouped LED lanterns around a low table, leaving a clear path between the seats.
an orange-striped drinks cart
How adorable is this little spritz bar? The orange-and-white striped canopy and scalloped sign look so cute above the white cart.
Crates of lemons and a bag of oranges decorate the space beside it. Try grouping your citrus around the base of a drinks station, with a potted tree off to one side.
arched backdrop and flower pots
Last but definitely not least, we have this gorgeous arched backdrop. I love the cream flowers spilling from the hanging baskets and the big rounded pots below.
Lanterns, little potted herbs and bowls of lemons fill out the bottom. If you’re planning your own backdrop, you could add a short greeting in green script across the center.
